International delivery instructions

Delivery instructions for international parcels depend largely on what the postal provider for the destination country, and what they typically require.

The two most common options are:

  1. Authority to leave: In some destination countries, the local postal service may leave the shipment at the recipient’s door if they deem the location to be safe.
  2. Collection card: They may instead opt to leave a card if the receiver is not at the delivery address when they attempt to deliver. This card should have instructions as to when and where the parcel can be collected.

Delivery instructions

Because every destination country’s postal authority has different delivery processes, there’s no default option for delivery instructions on the Sendle dashboard.

Some postal agencies will still accept them, however, we encourage you to contact them directly if you’d like to request for specific delivery instructions to be left for your receiver (this article on postal and customs authorities will have more information).
