Delivery instructions are used (and encouraged!) to help the delivery driver leave the parcel in the most convenient location, or get a signature on the first attempt. Which also means your parcels will be delivered more accurately and quicker, too!
We’ll show you how to give good delivery instructions for your next Sendle order:
Make them super clear
It is best to keep delivery instructions short, simple and clear when you book an order with Sendle.
They could include things like:
- Giving authority to leave if no one is available to sign for the parcel.
- Keeping delivery instructions under 40 characters.

When there are no instructions…
If there aren't any instructions or there’s no one at the delivery address to sign for the parcel, the driver is unable to complete the delivery.
This means they will need to either redeliver the parcel, or drop it off at a local collection point.
