Setting up eBay Rate Tables for Sendle’s 2-Day Delivery Guarantee

This guide explains how to set up your eBay postage rate tables to take advantage of Sendle’s 2-Day Delivery Guarantee.

Before we get to setting up your eBay postage rate tables, check that you’ve done this first:

  • Read the eBay Guaranteed Delivery program guides (there are several steps involved in setting up your account to offer eBay Guaranteed Delivery, and these guides have up-to-date helpful information on how to go about it).
  • Opt-in to the eBay Guaranteed Delivery program. This is important – without this, you won’t be able to take advantage of the 2-Day Delivery Guarantee.

Now you’re ready to set up your eBay postage rate tables for Sendle’s 2-Day Delivery Guarantee, in just two steps. (We’ve also popped helpful information about full zone information at the bottom of this article for advanced users.)

Step 1: Confirming your pickup zone

To set up your rate tables, you need to ensure that your pickup address is covered by the 2-Day Delivery Guarantee.

  • Find your suburb in the Eligible Pickup Suburbs list (this is a downloadable doc)
  • In that document, confirm the Sendle pickup zone for your parcel (this pickup zone will be used in the next step)
  • If your pickup suburb is not in this list, your parcels won’t be eligible for the 2-Day Delivery Guarantee. (For example, if you are in Barangaroo, 2000 you can look at the Eligible Pickup Suburbs to confirm your Sendle Pickup Zone is 'Sydney'.)

Heads up: If you can’t find your suburb in the Eligible Pickup Suburbs list, unfortunately at this time the 2-Day Delivery Guarantee Program isn’t supported. But we’re constantly expanding this program so stay tuned!

Step 2: Updating your eBay rate table

The eBay’s postage rate tables use “zones” to calculate when a parcel is eligible for the eBay Guaranteed Delivery program. Level 1 being the broadest (state level), and Level 3 being the most specific (cities). We will use the Level 3 zones to make sure that only areas covered by the Sendle 2-Day Delivery Guarantee are marked for guaranteed delivery.

  1. Log in to your eBay account.
  2. Navigate to the postage rate tables for the eBay Guaranteed Delivery (the eBay Seller Centre has a detailed guide on how to access this screen).
  3. You’ll see a series of checkboxes for all the different eBay zones. Only check off the specific eligible zones applicable to your Sendle pickup zone (you can see what these are from the links below).
  4. Once you’re finished editing your rate table, hit ‘Save’.

Check what your eBay rate table should look like based on your Sendle pickup zone:

You’re all set! Now your eBay rate tables should be set up to take advantage of the Sendle 2-Day Delivery Guarantee.

If you want a little more assistance, the help page on the eBay Seller Centre has more information.

For advanced users

The main difference for advanced users is that they can look over our full list of eligible zones, rather than using the screenshots above. There are three steps to the process for advanced users:

Step 1: Confirming your pickup zone

Follow the instructions in Step 1 above to find your Sendle pickup zone.

Step 2: Finding the eligible Level 3 zones

The eBay postage rate tables use "zones" to calculate when a parcel is eligible for the eBay Guaranteed Delivery program. Level 1 being the broadest (state level), and Level 3 being the most specific (cities). We will use the Level 3 zones to make sure that only areas covered by the Sendle 2-Day Delivery Guarantee are marked for guaranteed delivery.

  • To find the list of Level 3 zones, look at the list of Eligible eBay L3 Zones (this is a downloadable doc) and find all the zones which match with the Sendle pickup zone you identified in Step 1. So for example, if in Step 1 you found that your pickup zone is 'Sydney', the eligible Level 3 zones are: Brisbane, Canberra, Central Coast, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Newcastle, Sydney, Wollongong.

Step 3: Updating your eBay rate table

Finally, you need to set up the eBay postage rate tables with the zones you found in Step 2.

  1. Log in to your eBay account.
  2. Navigate to the postage rate tables for the eBay Guaranteed Delivery (the eBay Seller Centre has a detailed guide on how to access this screen).
  3. You will see a series of checkboxes for all the different eBay zones – make sure you check only the zones you found in Step 2, being careful to make sure no other checkboxes are selected.
  4. Then ‘Save’ your rate table.
