Got something small to send? Sendle’s 250g parcel option is the most affordable way to ship tracked deliveries across Australia—without overpacking or overpaying.
Whether it’s a tiny tool, trinket, or tote bag, as long as it weighs 250g or less and has a volume of 4L or less, you’re good to go.
You can use your own packaging and send any shape you like, so long as it fits within:
Max. weight: 250g
Max. volume: 4L
Max. length: 80cm
How is the 250g option different from other parcel sizes?
Domestic only
250g parcels are available across much of Australia, for delivery to residential and business addresses.
If the 250g rate isn’t available for your selected route, your Sendle order form will automatically show the next-best option.
Pick up or drop off
You can book 250g parcels for pickup or drop off, just like other Sendle parcels. Coverage for pickups and deliveries may differ slightly from our standard network. Just check out the drop off map when you're booking your order to make sure the one closest to you accepts 250g parcels.
Authority to Leave: All 250g deliveries are sent with Authority to Leave by default. Signature on delivery isn’t currently available for this parcel size.
Check the full list of suburbs with 250g pickup and delivery coverage.
Note: If your suburb isn't on the 250g coverage list, you can still send smaller items with the 500g Satchel option.
Packaging
You’re welcome to use any type of packaging as long as the final weight (including packaging) is ≤ 250g, volume is ≤ 4L, and length is ≤ 80cm.
We recommend choosing something sturdy and protective, think: small boxes, cardboard tubes, or a trimmed-down compostable satchel. Check out our Sendle packaging guidelines.
FAQs
Is the 250g parcel covered by Sendle Cover?
Yes. 250g parcels are automatically covered for loss, up to $100 plus shipping costs. You can also purchase Extra Cover for higher-value items.
Can I use the 250g option via the API?
Yes! The 250g parcel option is available through API integrations. If it's supported in your pickup and delivery suburbs, it’ll appear as an option.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
Nope. You can send one parcel or hundreds—it’s completely up to you.
Why can’t I see the 250g option when booking?
If the 250g option isn’t showing, it may not be available for your pickup location just yet. You’ll still be able to send your parcel—it’ll just be priced at the next available weight bracket.
