Delivery instructions are used (and encouraged!) to help the delivery driver leave the parcel in the most convenient location, or get a signature on the first attempt. It also means that your parcels will be delivered more accurately and quicker, too!

Make them super clear
It is best to keep delivery instructions short, simple, and clear when you book an order with Sendle.
They could include things like:
- Giving authority to leave if no one is available to sign for the parcel.
- Keeping delivery instructions under 40 characters.

When there are no instructions…
If there aren't any instructions or there’s no one at the delivery address to sign for the parcel, the driver will be unable to complete your delivery. Then they’ll have to try again another day. Nobody wants that.
