Verify my address for Sendle’s pickup service

This article will help our US Pro and Pro+ customers verify their sender address to enable the Sendle pickup service.

Without this verification, our delivery providers won’t be able to access your location for pickup… so it’s a good thing we’ve popped everything you need to know below!

How it works

Sendle runs a super quick verification on sender addresses before parcel pickup can be enabled. This is due to the requirements of our delivery providers, and the way address data needs to be communicated.

Existing Sendle customer

If you’re an existing Sendle customer and you want to verify your existing address:

  1. Go to ‘Settings’ from your navigation menu in your dashboard.
  2. From the top menu choose ‘Sender details’.
  3. Start typing your address into the ‘Address 1’ field.
  4. We’ll run a super-quick lookup in our delivery partner system to see if it matches up.
  5. Once the address matches, the rest of the form will be auto-completed and the address will be marked as verified. You can now book parcels for pickup. Yay!

First time using Sendle?

If you’re using Sendle for the first time, we'll verify your address for pickup the first time you send a parcel.

  1. Enter your sender pickup address by typing into the ‘Address 1’ field.
  2. We’ll run a super-quick lookup in our delivery partner system to see if it matches up.
  3. Once the address matches, the rest of the form will be auto-completed and the address will be marked as verified. You can now book parcels for pickup, woo!

What if my address doesn’t verify?

If our system can’t find a matching address (or if you manually type in your sender address and override our lookup system), the address will be marked as unverified. We’ll let you know straight away if this happens, as well as instructions on how to try again.

If your address is a multi-tenant building

If your pickup address is in an apartment block or other kind of multi-tenant building, it's important you fill out the 'Address line 2' field in your sender details. It's important to get the format right for your specific apartment/suite/floor/room number for us to successfully validate your pickup address.

For example: If you live in apartment number 2 of your building, you may need to input this as 'Apt 2', 'Apt #2', or 'Apt N2', depending on how your address is officially formatted in the validation database.

So even though they might look similar, you may find that only one of these versions is recognised by the database, so that one will be verified as your pickup address.

Keep in mind: Even if you don’t have a verified address, you can still book parcels for our drop off service, but you won’t be able to book a pickup with Sendle at this stage.
